Red Bird Ministries is a Catholic Grief Support Ministry following the loss of a child of any age and any circumstance, from miscarriage through adulthood. This program is being piloted in our diocese beginning April 2021 through the Office of Human Life & Dignity.

Red Bird helps parents understand grief, how to navigate through it, and how to take practical measures to begin the healing process. Currently the program includes:

• Information Sessions – For clergy, cemetery staff, counselors, therapists, advocates, parish grief ministers, companion couples, volunteers, and anyone who would have contact with grieving families who are interested in learning more about RBM
• Training Sessions – For facilitators and companion couples who will implement RBM at a parish
• Loving Through Loss Grieving Couples Workshop – One day workshop for couples who have experienced the loss of a child
• Grief Group Study – 10-week program for individuals or couples who have experienced the loss of a child
